Just 10km from PJVilla, Veliko Tarnovo offers good restaurants & bars which serve excellent food at extremely competitive rates. The shopping is good & clothes are very inexpensive. Pete & Jane would happily recommend the best restaurants & shops for guests to enjoy.

Just 5km from PJVilla is the wonderful little museum town of Arbanassi with its 2 monasteries and nice restaurants, most with menus in English. The views down to Veliko Tarnovo are amazing so don’t forget to take your camera. |

Gorna Oryahovitsa is a nice town around 6km from PJVilla. It provides good shopping opportunities with some excellent coffee bars around the central square. Just sit and watch the world go by or visit the history museum which is very interesting. |

Elena is 20km from PJVilla and is situated in the Elena Balkan mountains. With it’s quaint square in the centre where numerous cafes and bars are situated, Elena makes a good choice for a day trip. Within 5km of Elena are opportunities for some excellent walks. |
